Every day, rain or shine, this kid gives me a big smooch on the lips, asks for a kissing hand, and hugs my neck.
Every day she waves all the way to the front door of her school.
Every day I tell her “Try your hardest and be kind, sweet girl!” and every day she says “Oh, I will Mommy! I will”.
Every day I am so proud of her. For her compassion, her excitement, her courage, her joy.
Every day she is closer to being a second grader. Which I cannot, not even for one moment, believe.
Every day she is a bright spot in our world. Sunshine. Even on a gray, cloudy day.

I love this picture.
She’s going to grow up to be such an amazing person, just like her parents.

I know she’s yours so she’s perfect, but I volunteer in a local 2nd grade, reading for an hour every other week or so, and second grade is SUCH an awesome age! They’re quick, loving, affectionate, sponges when it comes to learning – I think after babies, this is my favorite age!
Awesome photo, too, by the way!
Have fun in Italy – we’re looking forward to your adventures!

she looks like sunshine, every time you post a photo of her, she’s just glowing with joy…my girly is going into the 8th grade and my son the 11th grade, just wait till you get there, then you really won’t believe it!

So cute! I can’t believe how much her twin sisters look like Harper! My cousin also has 4 girls, the youngest two are twins. So she had 4 under the age of 4. As they got a little older, the twins and the sister 18 months older looked exactly alike. People thought they were triplets!

You asked a couple of days ago what we’d like to see more of, I’d love more tips on how you write. I don’t even know if that’s something teachable, but I love it.

So this 1st grade teacher has been out of school for nearly a week and your photo made me weepy. Miss my “kiddos” at school, but I’m enjoying my big boys at home and getting my house back in order. I haven’t commented for a while but I wanted to let you know that I’m so excited for you and J and the girls. I’m so looking forward to reading about your Italian adventure. My great grandparents were Italian immigrants and I grew up in an Italian SW Pennsylvania neighborhood (best childhood EVER), and I’m a little envious of the adventure you’re about to undertake. The food, the sights, the traditions and customs, and the kind, generous people. Soak it all in!

I love this Stephanie. As a first grade teacher and a Momma to two little girls your words to her really hit home with me “Try your hardest and be kind, sweet girl.” The very thing I want for all my little ones at school. Thank you so much for sharing your life. Somedays your words are just what I need to hear.
