Thank you for sharing these. I am so jealous of the food truck festival, Whoopie Pies!? I die! And that photo of Jimmy snuggling with his baby girl just tears at my heartstrings. There is so much emotion in that simple picture, it is so moving.

May I recommend Hotel Transylvania rather than Frankenweenie? They re-animate (?) a dog in Frankenweenie, and while I couldn’t see it for my own reasons, I’ve heard that it’s a bit too scary for little ones. We saw hotel transylvania w/ a 3 and 5 year old, and everyone loved it. Just my two cents.

Thank you so much for the recommendation Lisa- I really appreciate it. Duly noted. 🙂 xoxo

We just went to the Jack-o-lantern Spectacular and it was amazing. It was crowded, so if you go be prepared to wait in line awhile (lots of food stands and bathrooms along the way). I would recommend putting the babies in back-packs if you have them. Strollers can get buried under all the people. We carried our little ones on our shoulders and I was afraid of tripping with them. But all in all it was so worth it. Hope you get a chance to take it in (the zoo is pretty cool too).
Erin says
I completely agree with those suggestions… and I would also suggest to go SOONER than LATER because the closer you get to Halloween the more crowded it gets. And going on a Thursday night will cut the lines drastically as well. We went on the Saturday night before Halloween last year and IT WAS INSANE!!!! Also… lots of layers. Its cold 🙂
