and it was absolutely beautiful. but this southern girl is longing for flip flops and warmer temps.
review so far:
halfway through proof of heaven- very interesting.
finished these girls- easy read, chick lit, really liked it
It may not be as organized or fancy as a lot of rooms i see online.
But i’m way happier with less. I’m not overwhelmed. Everything has a place. That works for me.
Worked on spelling with Harper. She really struggles and we have to practice a lot.
Disclaimer: I’m a former teacher, I know spelling isn’t considered a benchmark for many.
I’m not stressing her out about it.
We just think it’s important and have really been working on writing+spelling with her this year.
We had Family Reading Night at H’s school:
I caught up on Project Life:
I looked back at project life from last year and realized that this time last year:
1. jimmy was deployed
2. i started my job with MME.
what a year it’s been!
Lucy practiced her faces:
also-
Harper started her first week of ballet/dance- and loved it.
Sadie had to stay home from gymnastics as a consequence for sassy behavior.
We caught up on the last 2 episodes of The Following.
We watched The Wizards of Waverly Place movie for family movie night.
I watched Tim Gunn and Elmo on Sesame Street. Hard to tell who was more excited…me or the babies.
Sang The Wheels on the Bus 91284301820 times.
Thought about cutting my hair like this.
Watched Undefeated. LOVED IT. Like…really really loved it.
Cleaned only to have the results immediately reversed.
Swore that I’d never clean again. Gave up briefly.
Couldn’t stand it and started cleaning again.
That’s it!
Next week is big. We have Uncle Chris and Aunt Anna coming to visit…
And next Friday is our 10 year anniversary!!!
The weekend after that is my brother’s wedding.
WHEW!

Love your pics for this week! And it sounds like more weeks to come. Love your scrap space…that’s how I’ve been feeling lately, need to condense and not feel so overwhelmed surrounded by so much product, pretty to look at but daunting at the same time. I forget…when are you moving to Italy? Great post Steph!

Just started a book by pennakken! your others look good. I’m always looking for book recommendations! Yay, so nice to hear of someone else looking forward to hot weather and summer. I feel surrounded by fall/winter lovers online!! It was 80 degrees where we live a year ago this week, and 30 degrees this week. Way too cold. And we’re supposed to get a lot of snow tomorrow night. Boo!

The wheels on the bus go round and round…. I have sung that to my teenager on the way to school… no wonder he thinks I am nuts. Just no sense of humor at that age.

I’m totally envying your workspace right now! I’m fortunate enough to have a dedicated room; and will still have one when we move back to Seattle this summer, BUT…I am so sick of everything there!! I keep purging, but there is still SO.MUCH.STUFF.

Hi Stephanie, we too have had snow this week in London. Not quite as much as you by the looks of things. Held our breath yesterday as we had a family gathering yesterday and people had to travel some distances….however nobody was deterred and everybody turned up. We decided that the only time we all get together is for weddings and funerals so we arranged a do….it was wonderful. And will definitely be an annual event if not more. Last week of school this week with two parent sessions and our year group assembly and we are doing it all in French.! The children learn French from year 3 on…..we must have been mad!! But c ‘est la vie! Don’t stress about spelling….it will come with her reading. Always seems to me children learn spellings for tests but then forget them in their personal writing.
Sorry for going on…like writing to you
Enjoy next week and all it brings…
Deborah
