this is pretty much an everyday event around here. or something similar to this.
first-please note the line of random items. sadie made this line and it stretched around the entire house. oh yes it did.
lucy: oh look! a magnifying glass! surely my sister won’t notice if i take just one toy out of this line!
sadie: yes, i did notice.and i’ll take that back, thank you very much.
lucy: WHAT? did you see that? ohhhh the humanity. look at my little hands. they are so empty now.
my heeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaart is broken. BROKEN. sob.
sidenote: is it just me, or does lucy totally look like she sports a baby toupee? she’s a baby bieber.
sadie:sheeesh. okay. okay. have it back. you’re breaking *my* heart. i’m sorry lucy!
lucy: ummmm…did that really just happen? and the waterworks are OFF.
heck yes. i’ve got this all figured out. the crocodile tears are KEY!
and thus concludes a normal, everyday moment in the howell household. of course the person crying is interchangeable.
but the scenario is basically the same.
happy monday!

I love so much that you documented this little slice of everyday – right now. Because of course, next week or next month and definitely next year, life will move on and change and be different. Your beautiful little girls will grow up to be beautiful big girls who are heading off to college (as my daughter is) and you of course will look back at this and remember the treasure of these days. The thing I love most of all about this post and so many of your posts is the obvious love – love for your girls, love for your life, love for the pandemonium that rules your life right now – the love that comes through in your post. You’ve got your priorities straight and that is so wonderful and heartwarming to know.
Corey says
LOL…that’s GREAT! π Sadie is sweet to give the magnifying glass back! I don’t know if mine would have done that!!! Your babies are getting so big and their rolly legs are too too cute!
Valerie says
That made me laugh! I love how you’ve successfully captured on film (so to speak) a slice of the everyday. Our boys are 10 & 11 now and I wish I’d captured more little moments like that. Wish that we had a digital camera too!
I’ll be showing my hubby this post. BTW – I also LOVE Lucy’s chubby little legs and diaper-enhanced bottom (I know that sounds plain wrong but I don’t mean it in THAT way). π
Crystal Adame says
AWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!! I love this post!!! Those pics are so adorable. I rarely comment lately, my life is just so busy I barely have time to read, but I always smile and get a good laugh or tear* when I read your blog (all the time)! This post is one I HAD to comment on! How cute
