Who’s the crazy 6 1/2 months pregnant mom who drove 11 hours to take her kids to a Taylor Swift concert? Oh wait! That’s me!!!
Yes. I might be certifiably insane but it was worth every moment. My friend and I concocted this plan about 8 months ago. We bought tickets, booked lodging, and I found someone to watch C + L.
We didn’t tell our girls until an hour before the concert and let’s just say the squeals could probably be heard all the way in America.
H and S have been Swifties since 2009. Some of you long time blog readers might remember Harper singing “Love Story” in a video when she was 2 or 3. They know all of Taylor’s songs and just love her.
It was an incredible experience + occasion for bonding. She was talented, magnetic, energetic, authentic, kind, and SO gorgeous. It was all very appropriate and very inspiring. We’ll remember it forever and ever.
P.S. If you see me and say hi and I don’t say anything back…I’m totally not ignoring you. I’m pretty sure I’m partially deaf from the thousands (17,000!!!) of screaming teenagers. GAH.

Taylor Swift is an amazing talent and, better yet, a great role model for girls!
What a great plan, and a memory they’ll cherish forever. Love the pics!
How fun! And, yes, I couldn’t get over all the screaming! Ha!
I have three boys, so that is different for me! I went with my
sister, niece and son’s girlfriend at the time. We had a blast!

I have three girls, so I am used to having a very loud, rambunctious house, but even I couldn’t attend a concert with screaming teenagers. Your kids are lucky to have a great mother that will endure the screams for them. Glad you had a good time. How neat for the kids to tell their friends that they attended a concert in Germany! Sounds like the drive out was fun with friends!

I have taken to two TSwift concerts plus we saw her at Jingle Ball last year. Nothing comes close to the high pitch screams elicited by her fans. Glad you had a great time! Your girls will remember it forever!

That is SO cool! I went to my first Taylor concert last year when she brought her RED tour to NZ. It was SOOO amazing, the best concert I have ever been to. I know what you mean about her. She is fantastic and I love that you took the girls to her. I wish she was bringing the 1989 tour here. I’m sure the girls will cherish the memory for a long time!

Oh the looks on their faces are priceless!!! I was lucky enough to see Taylor when she was 16 and opening for Brad Paisley. You could hear all through the crowd and many conversations for days afterward about how awesome this young girl was and how huge she was going to be. Love her!!
