Happy July everyone! July…WAIT. How did that happen? And how is it that I’m still not blogging? Okay, I’m not going to dwell on it. I’m just going to start posting again. And I hope that someone, anyone?, is out there. Ha!
So here’s a quick update. We are great. The girls are big, and funny, and wonderful, and exhausting, and I love them so much.
Miss Cora is 9 months old:
Sadie is 8, Harper is 10, and Cate and Lucy are 5. H just completed fourth grade, Sadie finished 2nd, and Cate and Lucy will be in Kinder in the fall. They are pretty awesome:
We just returned from a 2 week vacation in Texas. We ate lots of cajun food and Mexican food and sweated our butts off. We drank margaritas and saw our parents and best friends in the world. It was pretty great.
Jimmy is great. He’s working normal people hours (8-5, SO WEIRD) and wearing civilian clothes to work…and he’s HOME. I told him he needs to get a hobby because work is so different here (in other words, he’s not OBSESSED with his job all the time) and he told me work was his hobby? Ha!
I’ve read way fewer books than I wish I’d read, I’m loving my new 31 business, and I’ve been working out for almost 3 months. I feel really great and happy. π
Lucy fractured her wrist 6 weeks ago and she’s been a rock star. She has not complained about her cast ONE SINGLE time. Even when she was hot in Texas, and even when all of her sisters were in the pool. She’s an angel.
So life goes on. It’s crazy and messy and loud and it goes way too damn fast.
How are all of you? I’m so happy to be back!
xoxo

You’ve been missed and I’m so happy to hear everyone is doing well and living large! Poor Lucy, but wow, she sounds like quite a trooper!
It’s been a hot, humid, stormy summer here in Texas but I’m glad y’all enjoyed your visit and took advantage of the yummy Mexican food and margaritas π
Welcome back!!
Thank you, sweet Milli!
The girls are getting so big! Fun to see pics of your Texas adventure on Insta. I imagine your families thoroughly enjoyed seeing you for an extended visit. Hooray for “regular” work hours. Happy July!!!
They sure did. Thank you! xoxo
Welcome back! Lovely update!
Thank you, Michelle.
I do miss your posts but so glad you post on instagram and snapchat!
IG and Snapchat give me life!!
Always love your posts!! Sp glad you’re back!!!
Thank you so much, Sylvia!
Nice to see all of your loverly faces. LOVE the pic of J and Ms. Cora – so cute. Hope you are happy in Virginia. The weather there should be (a little?) better than in TX this time of year. Good luck with everything, your new-ish home, business, and growing those gals! xo.
It is so much better, ten degrees is everything! Thank you so much for your sweet words.
You know we’ll be happy to read whatever you post, sweet girl. Glad you’re having a fun summer and that your soldier is home with y’all.
Thanks, darling girl.
Still here, happy to see you blogging, and always enjoying your Instagram posts π
Thank you so much, Antonia!
I’ve been following you on IG, so I know you’ve been well and happy, adjusting to life stateside. Hadn’t seen that adorable pic of Cora and your hubby, though – so sweet! Hooray for visiting TX, margaritas, and Whataburger!
Gah! Whataburger! I can taste it now.
It’s so great to see you blogging again! π
Thank you, Jill!
It is so wonderful to hear from you and see all of the changes in the little misses. I am amazed that you have time to think about blogging let alone doing it. You, my love, are amazing. Much-o love, Hugs, Ketena
Girl, not amazing. Nuts and frazzled just like all other mamas out there! Thank you so much, though!
I’m so glad that you are back. The girls are so grown up! I hope to see lots of news from you.
Me too, I’d love to start blogging regularly again! xoxo
So glad to see this update! Be well and enjoy the “normal” working hours of hubby!
Thank you so much, Teresa!
I love seeing pics of your family and reading updates. Im sure there are LOADSTONE of people who read your blog but never post…like me. Lol I love your REALNESS about life -the ups and downs the same. Helps the rest of us feel normal. Cannot believe J has an 8-5 job!! Does he like it? Bet you guys do!!
Keep blogging and keep pics coming on Instagram!!
You are the sweetest thing ever.
And I think he likes it sometimes but his work ethic is so nuts, it’s hard on him. I know that sounds weird. Ha!
Happy to have you back! The girls are all so beautiful, and growing fast! Enjoy.
Thank you, Tina! xoxo
So glad to have you back in touch. You chose the hottest time to be back in Texas, for sure! It is all worth it when you see family and get the bonus of Mexican food and Margaritas! The girls are gorgeous and getting so grown up. Hooray for having hubby home!
Oh, thank you Sherry. It’s a special time to be sure!
Hi there…and there are also some of us reading your blog in the other hemisphere!! You guys may be warm but we are into full on winter, but not as back as the American people had last year. A mild winter so far, dare I say!! Love to hear your family news and to see your gorgeous girls growing so beautifully. Jugs to you all from New Zealand
Big hugs, Pauline! Hugging you from across the world!
Oppss!!! Should have said “Hugs”
Happy for the update on your beautiful family – I just spent my fourth weekend in a row cheering my daughter on at the softball fields. Good times!
Good mama!!
Lovely to see a post from you Stephanie, I’m glad all is well. I completely agree with you when you say life is crazy, messy, loud and flying by far too fast. CJ xx
Big hugs, CJ!
Totally have missed your blog posts, Instagram helped…love following you and your family! Keep writing please.
Hi Kelley! So glad you stopped by! xoxo
Thank you for the update.
Thank you for stopping by, Sherrie!
So glad you are back, and back in the States. Happy that hubby is working normal hours and that the girls are happy & healthy!
Me too, Deb. Thanks so much for your kind words!
Love to see that you are back, i followed your blog before Italy , during your time in Italy ( you gave me some ideas about what i want to see) and i am looking forward to read about your life right now. Love your new home! Hopefully you will post some pictures of little corners with your italien treasures. And of course i am very curious about your new craft/scrap/planner room.
Hi Jetty! So happy you are still here and checking in. xoxo
So happy to see you blogging again! I hope you are enjoying Reston! It sounds like you all are having a great summer! I haven’t done much reading either this summer. We were in MD visiting my parents the past few days, and it sure was hot and humid. We live in Pittsburgh, so it always is an adjustment to the heat in DC area. But we had a great time visiting the Momuments and DC museums yesterday. If your family likes the beach, Ocean City, Bethany and Rehoboth aren’t far!
Pleasing you should think of sonmehitg like that
