1. It’s been in the upper 90’s all week. Which would normally be no biggie, considering I’m from Texas. But I’m 28 weeks pregnant and Italy doesn’t have central air. And I.Am.A.DISASTER. I have zero energy and I’m not being very nice to be honest. I’m working on patience and grace but I’m not good at being pregnant when I’m hot. I’ve been known to walk in the door, take off all my clothes, and throw myself on my bed. The children are not impressed.
2. Read this. Now. Trust me…just do it. (photo from my @whatstephreads Instagram account)
3. We went to Croatia last weekend and it was wonderful. I’ll share some thoughts soon.
4. I really really really want to make something. But my printer is broken and it’s about 100 degrees in my scrap room. So I just keep thinking about making something but never do anything about it.
5. We are having a family night out tonight to see Minions. And I am unnaturally excited. I think I love the Despicable Me franchise as much (more?!?!) as my kids do.
6. Someone pointed at my belly the other day and said “Was that on purpose???” Uhhhh. Wow. And let’s discuss the questions that Harper and Sadie asked after they overheard the comment. Mommy- how would you have a baby NOT on purpose? What does that mean???? Grrrr.
Well, there you have it. A blog post about NOTHING. That’s what preggers brain gets you, hahaha!
Happy Friday y’all!

People say the craziest stuff. You should have looked at them, puzzled, and acted like you had NO IDEA you were even pregnant.

I have the book on my list! Saw it on your reading posts (love your reading posts!) and it looks so good. May have to recommend it to my inlaws, they would like it. Your picture from Croatia is beautiful. Love the clear water. How cool that they are showing The Minions in Italy! In our area, people wouldn’t give you a second thought with 5 kids. It isn’t unusual at all! My grandparents all had 9 brothers and sisters and my high school friend had 17 kids in his family! I would love 6 kids myself!

I’ve heard Croatia is stunning, I’m glad you had a good time. Sorry it’s so hot with you. I remember doing the clothes off, lie on the bed thing with my second one when it was scorching. I hope it cools down soon. Thanks for the book recommendation, I shall check it out. Bestests, CJ xx

Hot here too in the PNW. No air except at the mall and restaurants and movie theater. We are breaking endless temperature records. Wild fires all over the state. I keep finding excuses to go out to eat for dinner (like not turning on the oven) Ha!

When I was pregnant with my fourth child and out with my three children who were under 6, a complete stranger asked my mom if they were all from the same father! When my stunned mother stammered, ‘yes’, he disgustedly walked away mumbling, “My God”. Don’t let the idiots get to you. A baby is a blessing, and your baby will be blessed to be a part of your wonderful family!

The breadth and depth of people’s tactlessness is amazing.

Yay, you read A Man Called Ove!! Now you understand why I’m the crazy lady who tells everyone they have to read it ; )

Stupid comments toward pregnant women was the topic of a few conversations today. I just don’t get rude people sometimes. Can’t wait to hear more about Croatia. ❤️

My answer…”Yes. Are you rude on purpose?” People need a filter sometimes! Hope the temps drop soon but the picture in my head of the children with their mom flopped on the bed was pretty darn entertaining! 🙂

Was what on purpose? The pregnancy or the sex that led to it? People are stupid. Worldwide. 🙂

I have family that lives just where you’ve visited. Why have I not visited yet?!

Oh my goodness. That last one made me laugh so hard (primarily the part about the questions from the girls). Good gracious.
