I’m so excited (and nervous) to announce that I’m up on the Pink Paislee blog as a guest designer!
I’m nervous because as y’all might have noticed…I don’t scrapbook much anymore. I kind of felt like I was going out on a limb by doing this, but I’m so glad I challenged myself! I realized that I need to stop looking at what other people are doing, and stop trying to figure out what’s “in” or “current”. These layouts look like the ones I made 10 years ago and I LOVE that. Doilies and flowers and white cardstock and labels and handwritten journaling 4EVA.
I had a blast making two layouts and a planner spread using the Sweet Freedom collection. It’s a patriotic/Americana collection, but I challenged myself to try some non-patriotic projects as well.
Here’s what I came up with:

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you have a beautiful weekend!

I am so happy to see you scrapping! These pages are absolutely beautiful! And, like a classic black dress, these pages will never go out of style. I, for one, am happy to see that you avoid fads and remain true to your style! Three cheers for staying true to your style!
Linda-You made my day. Thank you SO much!
Love those stars!!!
Thank you, Lynn!
Such beautiful pages! I love that you see the beauty and pride in everyday Army life! I like your style!
Thank you so much, Anna!
Love it all. Heck with what’s in. I scrapbook and have no clue! What’s “in” in my book is creating anything in any form that makes you smile. Love these- glad to see you making.
That’s right! Love you.
I’m so excited to see you scrapbooking again! Who cares what’s “in” right now all that matters is that it made you happy to make it and you smile when you look at it. I love your layouts – can’t go wrong with white backgrounds, handwritten journaling and embellishments.
What a compliment! Thank you so much, Brenda!
Your pages are always beautiful! I love these! Thank you for sharing!

You are welcome, Jo-Ann! Thank you for your kind words.
Beautiful!
Thank you!
Your designs are so you and so beautiful. I’ve also found that I gravitate towards the same type of designs in my LOs over the years, and I’m comfortable with that b/c it just says “Christine made this.”
YES!! And thank you!
So glad to see you creating in paper form again. Absolutely love your style and these are beautiful. I’m with you about not caring what’s “in.” just make yourself happy.
So wonderful to see your stunning layouts, once again, Stephanie!
I started following you before you left Italy and now I see you are in North Virginia! Catching up. Love your work, both scrapbook and planner!
I am with you in not following trends. I may change up my process a bit, but my style is my style and I am sticking to it! I love my white space and am loving yours too! We share a love of doilies. I just used one in my planner this week. I simply adore your exquisite handwritten journaling. I might even be crushing on it a wee bit!
Beautiful work. Hope to see more inspiration coming forth from you!
Your work is beautiful as always! I agree, don’t let trends stop you from creating.
More! More! More!
