Telling myself this today as I fight a case of the yucks.

I’m going to fight the blues and the mean reds (yes, a Holly Golightly reference of course) with kindness. No grumping right back and people and spreading a bad day around.

Now to remember that will be another thing, yes?

I love Harper so much.

A. She is a terrible speller. Just like her daddy. And I find it endearing. We work really hard on spelling but it is just not an indicator of her intelligence. She’s a great reader and writer and a crappy speller. HA!

B. JUGGLING AFTER BEDTIME. That’s really all I have to say about this entire thing. Every time I read those three words I laugh until I cry. I am saving this forever and ever and eve.r

C. When she slipped this under my door there were tearstains on it.

D. I LOVE HER SO MUCH.

I’m LOVING all of these fun tours going on lately. It gives my mojo a little kick in the pants and that’s always a good thing. 🙂

Q:WHAT AM I WORKING ON?

A: Now that I’m done with the Paris album, I’m moving on to the Barcelona album. I’m addicted! I’d love to do Instagram albums for all our trips!

Q:HOW DOES MY BLOG DIFFER FROM OTHERS OF ITS GENRE?

A: Um, I talk about personal stuff and scrappy stuff. Not many people do that anymore. And sometimes I regret the decision. I mean…if I seem happy it’s “all sunshine and rainbows” and if I try to get real “I’m complaining”. But honestly…after 8 years of blogging I am who I am and it is what it is. I love being “me” in this space. And if people don’t “get” me it’s totally fine. I can’t change opinions and I’m so glad I stopped trying! I like sharing a little bit of everything here.

WHY DO I WRITE/CREATE WHAT I DO?

I’ve said it many times and I mean it with all of my heart…my blog is my therapy and has been my saving grace many times. There have been so many instances where J was gone and I just felt alone and overwhelmed. I have connected with so many amazing friends here.

Why do I make things? Because I love it. Truly. Again…I’ve said this before but it should be FUN. If it’s not, something’s wrong. It brings me joy.

HOW DOES YOUR WRITING/CREATING PROCESS WORK?

It’s very stream-of-consciousness and fly by the seat of my pants. I just write/make what’s in my head, without pre-planning or editing. Seriously. I have never planned my journaling first. Blogging- I just write whatever is on my heart. But that’s just kind of how I am as a person. I’m a “blurter”.
