Happy Sunday,y’all! I wanted to share a layout with you today. As the days have passed without my crafty supplies…I just knew there was NO way I could wait another week to make something.
A few things happened that made me decide I was going to make some pages.
1.An old scrapbooking friend started a new kit club. It’s called Gossamer Blue. I didn’t hear about it in time to snag the main kit,but I did buy a couple of add-ons.
2.MPix had a sale and I ordered a bunch of 4×6 photos. I took some pictures of the bigs in our new backyard last week. The sunsets are GORGEOUS here and the light in the backyard is unbelievable.
3. After the movers left our house in Savannah I found a few random things left behind. A roll of MME washi tape, my paper cutter, an American Crafts precision pen, etc.
4. I’ve been exploring Newport. We have a Michael’s and all I really needed was a roll of adhesive. Not that that stopped me from picking up a couple of other things.
So here’s what I came up with.
Supplies: Gossamer Blue Sunny Days Add On and Bits and Pieces Add On,gardening twine(hardware store),doilies-dollar spot!- and french general flowers-on clearance-(Michael’s),MME designer tape, sequins(Walmart)
1. I used the gardening twine to tie a bow around the photo. I miss my bakers twine but I kind of like the look this gives the page.
The kits came wrapped in blue tissue paper. I saved it and matted the photo with the paper.
2.The kit embellishments came in large glassline envelopes. I cut the bag into a fringe and layered it under the left edge of the photo.
3. I realized I didn’t have any letter stickers and that’s one thing I use on every single layout. I improvised and cut the vellum back into an “H” to use for the title.
Lesson? I don’t need all of my stuff. I actualy enjoyed utilizing the glassline envelopes, the tissue, and other things I had around the house. It was FUN!
I hope you had a beautiful weekend. XOXO
