1. Color Blindness Isn’t Helping Anything – I needed to read this and I needed this reminder. I talked to Jimmy about it and it’s something I want to keep in mind…not only in OUR lives, but as we parent.
2. Go watch this movie. Now. It’s on Netflix and it was absolutely amazing. It made me laugh and cry and I haven’t stopped thinking about it yet.
3. I’m back on Twitter. I didn’t think I’d miss it but I totally did. My old name is gone but you can find me HERE. There’s just not a better place for links, witty quotes, etc.
4. 36 Times Breaking Bad was the cleverest show on television. I read this and I was immediately in mourning all over again. I.Miss.That.Show.
5. Jimmy Fallon Blew a Chance to Date Nicole Kidman. I shared this on my FB page and I’ve watched it about 100 times since. His face KILLS me. Specifically at 1 min/17 sec. I can’t handle it. Y’all…I’m half in love with him!
6. 18 Best Netflix Movies You Haven’t Seen. Working my way through this list (see #2) and I agree with almost all the picks.
7. What’s the Best Book (new or old) You Read This Year? Pinned this a while back and think it’s such an interesting list.
8. This is my mantra for 2015. I wish more people understood this and embraced this.

10. Stitch Fix (which you all know I’m a big fan of) is now offering Stitch Fix Gift Cards. What a great gift idea! I think anyone who either doesn’t like shopping or is too busy to shop would love one of these.
Have a wonderful weekend sweet friends. See you on Monday!

Will be checking out your book to read list too!! I’m glad you enjoyed that movie too:) right now I’m reading The Language of Flowers…I think after seeing you blog about it? That movie reminds of the book a bit as well. I guess what makes that Nicole Kidman/Jimmy video so funny is that they seem so real…both at certain points seem a little embarrassed. Did you see where the video where they played the game Box of Lies on the show too?

That interview was one of my favoritest ever!!!! The only other Jimmy moment I think I loved more was lip syncing with Emma Stone.

Glad you’re back on Twitter!!! Thanks for the movie recommendation. Our favorite movie at the moment is About Time. Witty dialogue + romance + fantastic message. Best book I read in 2014 was Wonder. Loved it!! Lastly, I watched that video of Fallon and Kidman way too many times since it aired. His reaction is fabulous.

Thanks for the source for a gorgeous rendering of what is also my mantra for the year — that and Let It Go. The ordeal vs adventure is critical this year as I finish up my work commitments while living alone in a different country away from my husband and our wee dog ( who is our very spoilt pet now our children are adults!). I decided when I returned here that I could be miserable for the remaining time or find ways to appreciate this time and place. I am using the long stretches of time I have alone to really think about how I want the next stage of life to look, to read, to formulate plans and schemes, some realistic and others not so much!

I watched the movie Long Term 12. Then I decided to watch another one of the Netflix list. Dear Zachary. The most moving documentary I have ever seen. I cried like a baby. Go watch it if you haven’t already!! Breaking Bad? Best show ever! That JF interview? Hilarious. BTW: I thought the book Leaving Time was really good! It’s one of those books that make you want to go back and re-read it to catch all the clues you missed leading up to the end!! Reading All the Light We Cannot See now! Thanks!! Love your posts!! I watched the movie Short Term 12. Really great, but really tough. I could not do that kind of work, the pain, the injustice, they are children…. One does the little one can to help ease the pain and try to help them forget/forgive the betrayal. Heal and move forward.
thanks for sharing

Thank you for the recommendation on Short Term 12. My husband and I are just starting our journey towards becoming foster parents and the movie felt like just another sign we are moving in the right direction. Your recommendations are always the best!
