*if you are here looking for the dear lizzy blog hop check the post below!!!**
sorry j,but i have to be honest here.
you didn't write me the best love letter i've ever received.
nope. that honor belongs to antoine. antoine was one of my students in 2nd grade. it was my first year teaching.
here's a taste of the letters he'd leave on my desk.
i have to admit that antoine had a way with words.
sometimes jimmy will lean over like he wants to whisper a sweet (romantic) nothing in my ear…and i will hear
"you smell like strawberry"
or
"you are so fine"
or
"you is bigger than me". (NOT my favorite. hahaha)
oh yes, that antoine was a wordsmith. wonder where he is today. he'd be…what…17 or so?
wonder if he's still the ladies man that he was at 8. sigh.
xoxo

I also had an “Antoine”. His name was Travorous, and he was a fourth grader many years ago. I believe he has since graduated college. He gave me a black lace teddy for Christmas one year. No joke. Thank goodness I didn’t open it in front of him. The BEST part, his mom KNEW about it.

Awww… too cute.
I had a crush on a teacher in Junior High. I made my tiny best friend crawl through an open window to leave a heart-shaped box of candy on his desk on Valentine’s Day. She got stuck crawling out… it was too funny!

Stephanie, this is so funny. We have a similar joke in my family. My mom found a letter from a girl to my dad in the 8th grade. Apparently, he liked her best friend and not her and she was scorned, it’s 3 pages long and we read it every time we all get together. We have never made it through the letter without crying from laughing. I’m glad we’re not the only ones 🙂

Really did smile big and laugh out loud to this post! So cute! Last week my son told me that the new student teacher that he has in one of is classes “is so fine. And she knows she’s fine. She does fine things”…Hahaa…What the heck are “fine things”??? Well, according to my hormonal 14yoa that means she bends down excessively and tosses her hair all the time! OMGoodness…boys! Do we need little, old, fat, stinky teachers to help these boys focus? LMBO!
kate says
That is really cute. How did you handle it at the time?

I teach 11-16 year olds so wouldn’t get anything as sweet as this, infact they find it embarrassing to even have a crush on a teacher!
