i hope you’ll indulge me today as i share more of the photos from our photo shoot with ker-fox photography.

we received the rest of our photos today and although i could easily share ALL of them, i love them so much, i thought i’d share a few more. i can’t help it. hahaha!

i honestly don’t think i could decide on a favorite if i was forced to. okay, that’s a lie. i think my favorite is probably the one i shared previously, the one of sadie with the dirty knees and the “shoot, i got caught!” look on her face.

but here are more of the ones i love second best. 🙂

saturday we headed to the savannah children’s book festival in forsyth park.

we had a tote full of some of our favorite bedtime stories…the llama llama books, the skippyjon jones books, and pirates don’t change diapers, as well as a camera and a sharpie for when we met the authors.

the girls were SO excited. especially when we met some of their favorite characters.

as you can see, sadie was suspicious. as usual.

“get your stinkin’ llama paws off of me.”

we made our way to the main stage,

where the girls listened to judy schachner and anna dewdney speak.

it was so cool…they read their books and then answered questions.harper was WAY into it.

i may or may not have recited all of the words to llama llama red pajama without looking at harper’s book.

after each author read, they made their way to the author tent, where you could wait in (MASSIVE) lines to meet them and get their autograph.

we quickly went over to anna dewdney’s tent (huge lllama llama fans in our house) and waited for a long time, even though we were towards the front of the line.

i’m pretty sure the wait had something to do with the older couple at the front of the line that had at least 3292128429340238420384023840238 books for her to sign, and totally looked like a couple out of a saturday live skit. they were probably her biggest fans. heee.

eventually we got up to the table. and the girls were SO cute and polite.

she told them how precious they were and also that they were very precocious. hahahahah! sadie kept saying “LLAMA LLAMA MAD AT MAMA!!!!” and making her laugh.

and miss h, as usual, was being the queeeeen of TMI. telling her goodness knows what. her middle name, her baby sister’s names, her favorite snack? who knows.

we had an awesome time. i am loving living here SO SO much. i’m already dreading the day we have to leave!

well shoot! there was a layout here, but i received emails from several of you reminding (correcting???) me that the phrase is “all of a sudden” not “all of the sudden”. believe it or not, i know that…i blame it on VERY tired preggers  brain. luckily it was easy as pie to correct the title. i’ll repost it later!

black is my best friend right now.

tunics.

leggings.

my size ll/12 black faux uggs (and brown too) that i got at target and walmart. j calls them “fuggs”. hmmmph. don’t judge me and my ski feet.

they are the only things that will fit my feet these days. HA!

last night we had a hail and farewell at kevin barry’s…it gave me a chance to do my hair and makeup and get out of the house. it felt nice. but i was TIRED and ready to come home by 8. haha!

at 35 weeks:

i have about one day a week where i can’t get out of bed. i think it’s my body adjusting to the new weight. then i get over it, get accustomed to it, and i’m fine the rest of the week

i have been craving crab legs

i get up twice an hour at night to pee. it’s fun. i can walk to the restroom and back without opening my eyes.

i have to take zantac twice a day for the heartburn.

lucy (i can tell b/c she is on my left side), constantly has hiccups.

almost all of my shirts are too short at this point. i also can’t tolerate wearing anything other than leggings on my bottom half.

i’m wide awake for most of the night

i’m ready to have my body back to “normal” and meet these babies, but also scared half to death. the other day j and i were out to lunch and i started crying (hormonal mess much??) wondering if the two “bigs” are going to feel neglected. and how i’m possibly going to give them the love and attention they deserve.

oh, i want to thank you all for your sweet words on my post from yesterday. we are having so much fun decorating!!

i can’t even believe it, but we have pictures on the wall,

curtains on the windows,

books on the shelves…

this may sound silly to some of you, but my last five homes or so haven’t had all of these things. before we moved here i decided i wanted to make this house a home.

i wanted curtains on the windows, dang it!!!

and two weeks after moving in, we have these things. i couldn’t be more grateful to my fabulous mama for all of the help she’s given us the past two weeks. thank you doesn’t even begin to cover it.

the upstairs is more or less done as well. 🙂 i will photograph and share that portion of the house later this week, as well as our office/scrap room (which is downstairs, but NOT done at this point!).

look at what i saw this morning before jimmy left for work. how sweet is this? nothing better than a daddy that is HOME. we are so grateful to see him each morning and to see his smiling face walk in the door at night. so grateful.

okay. on to the house photos! sorry if you are tired of seeing house stuff, but i’m just really excited that we got this done!

i won’t be sharing a photo of the dining room, b/c we unpacked my china/milkglass/cake pedestals yesterday and the table looks like an estate sale. heee! i’ll share that later, along with the scrap room.

so there you have it! i want to note that all of this is mostly things i’ve found over the years at flea markets, supplemented with affordable pieces from target, home goods, and even walmart.

i love pottery barn, restoration hardware, etc…but it’s not feasible for us to have a home completely furnished from those stores. as much as i’d LOVE that!! so i try to mimic the look of these stores using items that are more affordable.

this afternoon i hope to get the milk glass, etc. into the red china cabinet.

 

i can’t believe i’m 35 weeks pregnant this week. where does the time GO???

what?? you haven’t heard of that fairy tale? it’s a classic.

it’s about two sisters. both VERY different. different as the day is long.

one was a beautiful, prissy (some might say), delicate fairy princess:

and the other was a (also beautiful), hilarious, juicy cheeseburger:

who was into cannibalism.

sometimes the two sisters were best friends.

 

 

sometimes the sisters were…um….frenemies?

 

sometimes the cheeseburger tried to take the fairy princess down. and mama and daddy told the fairy princess to

“STOP BEING THE VICTIM!!!! stand upforyourselfforpete’ssake!”

but that’s another story for another day.

 

all was well at the end of this fairy tale.

the cheeseburger got naked and told everyone to quote

“not look at her meeples” 

and the fairy princess danced off into the sunset:
