I like to joke that one of the good things that has come out of the past year is that I no longer have crappy pajamas.
For real…pre corona my “loungewear” consisted of some busted, fugly leggings and a stretched out t-shirt. Or maybe some of Jimmy’s pajama pants. An army swag hoodie on a good day.
Now? Now I consider myself a connoisseur of loungewear. I LIVE in loungewear. And I know many of y’all do too.
Whenever I speak about “elevated loungewear” on IG, I get questions. SO I thought I’d share a little graphic and list my favorites.
Here we go!
- Ponte Leggings. These are thick and warm and cozy and look great if you throw on a jacket and a pair of sneakers. I love them.
- Women’s Mirabelle Long Bell Sleeve Open Front Cozy Cardigan RIDICULOUSLY cozy, somewhat structured, just the best.
- Velvet Scrunchies – One of my favorite thing about GenZ is that THEY BROUGHT SCRUNCHIES BACK.
- Wide Leg Lounge Pants – I’ve had these for a few years and they show no signs of wear. Flowy, soft, flattering…I could go on and on. I have the light gray but I would love to snag the dark gray, too.
- Bralettes – I ditched the underwire in 2020. Bralettes are my jam. These are soft and just structured enough.
- Sneakers – Okay. This isn’t technically loungewear, per se. BUT, I bought these in white/leopard and black/leopard and my teenagers compliment me EVERY SINGLE TIME I wear them. They are perfect to throw on if you LEAVE the house in your elevated loungewear. Which I do often. Ahem.
- Robe – bought this for Sadie for Christmas, stole it because she never wears it. Sorry, not sorry, Sadie. Soft and stretchy and just…perfect.
- Joggers – bless my heart that I didn’t “know” joggers pre 2020. This was the first pair I bought and it remains my favorite.
- Wrap Top – The Sofia Vergara loungewear line for Walmart is all… ** chef’s kiss ** but this one is the most chic piece. I have the long cardigan, tank tops, and pants- all amazing. And AFFORDABLE as heck.
- Slippers – SPLURGE. It’s worth it. Jimmy Howell bought these for me as a Christmas gift. I had never heard of them or seen them, nor would I have everrrrr bought them for myself. But OH.My.GOSH. They are magical. Like a warm hug for your foot.
- Hoodie – bought this in pink on sale, loved it so much I ordered the white, too. It has a nice crop (NOT a Britney Spears crop, just a little one) and I love the split detail on the sleeves.
- Leopard Set top// bottom – Target does it again. I have both pieces and wear them both separately and together. Size up. The pants are a tad short (on me, at least) and the sweatshirt is cropped. Oversized is cute.
- Tie Dye Sweatshirt – Listen. Stars Above from Target is the best in the loungewear game. I said what I said. I have never bought anything from them that I’m not obsessed with. Soft and comfy, I have this same sweatshirt in light gray, too. It’s just good.
- Socks – Yes. It’s ridiculous to spend dollars on cozy socks. Is it worth it? ALSO YES.
- Leggings– I bought these in 2 packs at Costco like they were going out of style. And I’m so glad I did. I still have them (non-pilled and not stretched-out) years later, and I still reach for them first.
So. What do you think? Any of these you can see yourself wearing? I so hope you found this post helpful…have a beautiful day!

I have those kind of lounge pants, and I LOVE them!! The one downside is I get tangled in them when I sleep and the legs rip a little when I get tangled rolling over!!! However they are my go to pants!!!

Can I see myself wearing any of these? Absolutely. That’s a plus about the pandemic…my lounge wear game is strong. It’s my mission in life to be cozy and I certainly achieved it this year!
