Checking In

This was us last night. Luckily Ranger Jimmy keeps the house well stocked with flashlights and head lamps. We made it a bit of an adventure- we did not want to girls to feel scared- and power was back on today. Massive gusts of wind (our house was shaking) was the worst of it for us.

Heard the wharf got hit pretty bad downtown and the shops are under water.

We have no Internet today so if you've emailed me I'll get back to you soon. Thank you much for your messages,notes,and tweets.

Praying for those who were hit WAY harder than we were. So many scary photos and stories.

  1. So glad you guys are safe and was just thinking how reassuring it must be to have Jimmy with you on this adventure. I remember when Ike hit the winds and not knowing what was going on outside were luckily the scariest part for us.

  9. Glad you are all okay! My parents always made storms seem like an adventure when we were young also although we certainly didn’t ever face anything quite like Sandy! But we are close enough to the coast to have had downed trees and flooding from hurricanes.

  30. Glad to hear you are doing fine. So sad for all those who got hit badly. We in DE had some issues, but my family was spared by the grace of God! Are you still planning to go TA at CKU? I haven’t heard from them at all and was planning on going!
