a year ago today i was sitting in the mother and baby room at darnall hospital with this sweet baby girl, waiting for her daddy to walk in the room and meet her.
up until february 2, we didn’t know if she was a boy or a girl,
and we certainly didn’t know if daddy would make it home to see her born.
he didn’t, but i really think that sadie and i bonded from the get go.
to go through what we went through together, well it was special.
and she’s been my sunshine ever since.
this past year she has brought our family so many smiles,
so much joy,
and also she has brought sheer madness to the howell household.
from the spilled coffee grounds on our white carpet,
to eating a black prima flower, causing me to call poison control
(um, that was yesterday).
from climbing into the dishwasher, to spilling and throwing
anything she can possibly get her hands on…
she’s a total mischevious monkey.
and i can’t imagine life without her.
happy first birthday, sadie bug.
i can’t wait for your daddy to come home and fall in love with you.
by the way, i’ve just this week noticed that sadie has 2 different color eyes,
just like her mama.
one is grey/blue and one is hazel.
just like her mama.
(can’t tell in the above photos thanks to that evil flash).
and i have the perfect layout to share today.
my sweet friend tessa ann watte asked me to do a project
featuring her fabulous buttons and frame.
you can visit her shop HERE.
brand new prima flowers,
and labels from twogirlzstuff.
enjoy and happy monday!
