hey y’all! i hope you are having a wonderful week so far. today i wanted to share our teacher gifts with you all.
we LOVED our teachers this year. they went above and beyond and truly loved my girls. so i knew i wanted to say thank you with something fun.
i had three teachers to buy gifts for, so i wanted to try to be budget-minded.
i had seen SO many cute “beach/pool” themed totes on pinterest and i decided to go with that theme.
so i went to walmart. i don’t go to walmart often because i usually have a hard time finding what i’m looking for and i prefer target.
but target is close to an hour away so i thought i’d give w. a try.
JACKPOT!! not only did i put together some seriously cute gifts…i saved money.
Here’s what I came up with.
this top tote is for one of sadie’s teachers, miss becky. becky is young and fun and so cute and i totally thought this canvas bag matched her perfectly.
i’m also showing you the straw polka dot bag i found for harper’s teacher.
-flip flops
-sunscreen lip balm
-a mini fan
-sunglasses
-a striped beach towel (SO CUTE and only $5!)
-a pack of gum
-a tumbler for the beach beverage of their choice.
for a finishing touch i made tags using thickers, washi, and enamel dots.
easy peasy. and totally budget conscious.
i did think about including sunscreen and a magazine, but that would have added another 40 dollars or so to the overall price so it was a no go.
i figured that they already had sunscreen at home and maybe not everyone likes cheap tabloids like i do. heh.
so there you have it. our teacher gifts for the year. 🙂
happy thursday!

Great gifts! Those bags are so cute. I would have done them, but we got out of school last week. But a great idea for next year!! Thanks! How do you manage with Target an hour away? I love Target and ours is 10 minutes away (only 2.5 miles, but traffic). I remember all your posts with the kids in the shopping cart at Target.

Very cute gifts and I’m sure the teachers will love them! I just had to comment on your enamel dots – I have a few packs of those and try so hard to use them and constantly take them off of things because they look wierd where I put them?! I am now going to designate them to my tags! Thanks for the idea. 🙂

Wonderful gifts – lucky teachers. I need to start thinking about gifts, there aren’t many weeks left until the end of our term her in England either.

AWesome idea Steph. I suddenly feel bad for all of the teachers I had in school – nobody did teacher gifts back then. (and the one I threw up on in grade 2 probably really deserved on too) 🙂

Nobody did teacher gifts back when I was in school either. I only learned of it (a few years ago) due to craft related bloggers, and started asking around to see if it was a common thing or just something crafters did (as an excuse to get their craft on. As if we need one).

That is so thoughtful. What lovely gifts. I am a teacher and would love to receive something like that….well I can wish! Loving your grand adventure. You are a little closer to us in England! Maybe you will get to London while you are in the area!! 🙂
